Schothorst Feed Research (SFR) is a leading research institute with ruminant, swine, and poultry farms in Lelystad.

As a Financial Officer, you are responsible for maintaining accurate, timely, and complete
financial administration for Schothorst Feed Research B.V and Stichting De Schothorst. The role
ensures reliable financial records, supports project administration, and contributes to compliance with
internal controls, statutory requirements, and reporting obligations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure accurate and timely processing of the financial administration.
Support project administration, cost allocation, and financial traceability.
Safeguard correctness, completeness, and consistency of financial data.
Contribute to VAT compliance and statutory reporting obligations.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.

KEY TASKS

Book and specify purchase invoices on a daily basis.
Process bank statements and financial transactions.
Prepare and execute payment runs.
Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Register and verify hours, including animal care hours.
Maintain the fixed assets administration.
Process internal intercompany and foundation settlements.
Invoice projects and recharge costs to customers.
Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
Support financial closings, including general ledger reconciliations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

MBO degree in Financial Administration or equivalent.
Relevant experience in a financial administrative role.
Experience with Exact is an advantage.
Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
Affinity with project-based financial administration.
