Manager Beeks: 'SFR wants to attract, develop and retain top talent for our company'

Unique traineeship at Schothorst Feed Research

Schothorst Feed Research (SFR) is moving with the times. To remain future-proof and guarantee quality and expertise in animal nutrition, three energetic and ambitious trainees started on September 1st: Danique den Heijer, Maxime Landwier, and Noa Steendam.

Wim Beeks, Manager Sales & Consultancy, initiated the traineeship at SFR. “At SFR, we offer the Advanced Feed Package: up-to-date knowledge and services in animal nutrition for the international feed and livestock farming sector. As the sector grows, so does the need for professional, data-driven feed evaluation systems. This traineeship was born from this.”

So, what will the trainees be doing? “SFR wants to maintain and expand its unique expertise, so we want to attract, develop, and retain top talent for our company,” Beeks explains. “By developing the consultants of the future, expertise and innovation within SFR will be guaranteed for the long term.”

The trainees themselves are eager to get started. “SFR is a company where practice and science converge. I’m eager to contribute to that,” Steendam responds. Den Heijer is looking forward to the international aspects of the traineeship. “In the Netherlands, we’ve made great progress in developing a future-proof livestock farming sector. I’d like to share that knowledge worldwide and bring foreign applications to the Netherlands.” With her thirst for knowledge, Landwier is dedicated to helping clients as effectively as possible. “SFR is data-driven. We also provide truly customized solutions: not every client is the same. That’s my challenge: how do we solve every new puzzle, what can we best offer the client?”
