We are seeking a Researcher Swine Nutrition who combines scientific excellence with a strong applied and stakeholder-oriented mindset. In this role, you will act as a knowledge partner for the swine industry, translating research outcomes into practical nutritional strategies that support performance, sustainability, and innovation..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a scientific and applied research partner for clients in the swine sector, translating industry challenges into robust research questions and experimental designs.
  • Initiate, lead, and coordinate nutrition research projects in close collaboration with consultants, laboratories, project management, and animal care teams.
  • Analyse data and interpret results, translating scientific findings into practical nutritional recommendations, reports, abstracts, and scientific publications.
  • Disseminate knowledge through courses, workshops, training sessions, conferences, and international symposia.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and actively contribute to business development and knowledge positioning of SFR.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • MSc or PhD degree in Animal Sciences or a related field, preferably with certification in laboratory animal science (art. 9).
  • Strong expertise in monogastric animal nutrition and digestive physiology.
  • Demonstrated interest in both academic and applied research, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex science into practical insights.
  • Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented professional with a strong learning mindset.
  • Fluent in English; willingness to learn Dutch (language support provided).
