Our Ruminant team consists of six experts, supported by research assistants and biotechnicians. The team initiates and conducts research, provides consultancy, and offers training in the field of ruminant nutrition. Key focus areas include the nutritional evaluation of existing and new raw materials to maintain an up-to-date SFR feedstuff table, forage quality, sustainability challenges such as methane, nitrogen, and phosphorus emissions, as well as animal health and welfare. Additionally, modelling to keep the E-dairy module updated and the evaluation of feed additives are essential tasks.
A Researcher in Ruminant Nutrition is responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on research projects in the field of dairy nutrition and production. You will ensure that customer requirements and expectations are translated into feed concepts and research initiatives. Your role involves converting scientific knowledge into practical applications and effectively communicating results to stakeholders through courses and presentations.
MAIN ACTIVITIES

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Academic study in Animal Sciences/ Veterinary Science with an experience in the field of animal nutrition/ health and dairy production.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the field of ruminant nutrition and digestive physiology.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong motivation, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
- Excellent command of the English language; understanding and speaking Dutch is a strong advantage
- License to perform animal trials is desired.
- PhD degree is preferred.
