As Coordinator Research Analyst, you ensure that laboratory activities run smoothly, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You act as the operational right hand to the Laboratory Manager, leading and coaching analysts, safeguarding analytical accuracy, and continuously improving laboratory workflows. In this pivotal role, you bridge operations, quality, and innovation while helping SFR deliver reliable, science-based results to our partners.

You contribute to professionalizing our laboratory processes, drive standardization and digitalization of lab workflows, and function as deputy for the Laboratory Manager when required. With a strong focus on coordination, quality assurance, and analytical excellence, you help keep our research engine running at full strength.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the daily planning and execution of laboratory activities.
  • Monitor turnaround times and proactively remove bottlenecks.
  • Supervise, coach, and train analysts to ensure consistent quality and development.
  • Verify and approve laboratory results and reports.
  • Safeguard compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Supporting the validation of existing and new analyses.
  • Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely laboratory workflows.
  • Lead laboratory innovation projects and develop new analytical protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, improved workflows, and data integrity.
  • Function as deputy for the Laboratory Manager during absence.
  • Support procurement decisions for laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Act as primary point of contact for cross-functional research teams regarding laboratory planning and prioritization in the absence of the Laboratory Manager.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in laboratory technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ laboratory experience, incl. 2 years in a coordinating role.
  • Experience supervising analysts or mentoring junior colleagues is an added advantage.
  • Effective communication, and collaborative mindset.
  • Solid understanding of analytical methodologies and lab techniques.
  • Proven ability to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • High commitment to safety, quality assurance, and operational discipline.
  • Working proficiency in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
